Washington, D.C. – The next edition of the CEA Alliance’s Retail Insights webinar series will feature a conversation with Rachel Keating, Produce Group Manager, for Wegmans. The Retail Insights series is a members-only program designed to provide member companies a candid, off-the-record discussion with retail and foodservice leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities for CEA category growth.
“Rachel will be a fantastic guest for our next webinar,” said CEA Alliance Executive Director Tom Stenzel. Wegmans is a family-owned regional supermarket chain headquartered in Rochester, New York with 114 stores in nine states and the District of Colombia. “As Wegmans is known nationally for its excellence in fresh produce, we are fortunate to have Rachel provide her insights on the role of indoor farming in Wegmans’ produce strategy,” Stenzel said.
As Produce Group Manager, Rachel oversees all vegetables as well as the Wegmans Organic Farm in Canandaigua, New York. She joined Wegmans in 2015 after working as a Buyer for another retailer for eight years in New York City. Upon joining Wegmans, she started in its Marketing Department after spending time in Store Operations for six months. She became a Category Merchant in 2018 managing the International Foods business in the Grocery Department. Rachel then moved to produce in 2021 as a Category Merchant where she managed various categories such as bananas, avocados, tropical, packaged veg, melons & cut fruit over the next four years, before assuming her current position in 2025.
